Two nights ago I found myself inside Aria in Uptown Charlotte. Aria is a Tuscan grille off Tryon. It is a great Italian restaurant with a pretty cool interior. If you’re trying to bang a chick, I’d suggest you take her here. I dig the wine rack they have near the bar, and the way they serve their water in glass jugs. It is the simple things that I usually take-away from any dining joint. Anyways, I reluctantly agreed to meet an accomplice at Aria around 9pm on a Wednesday night. Surprisingly, the place was pretty packed. A lot of people knock Charlotte because, they claim, it turns into a ghost town during the weeknights. Ignorance. Just because you’re too much of a pussy to drive into Uptown Charlotte and deal with one-way streets, don’t go saying the place is a ghost town. Read More to Continue.
I didn’t order an appetizer because I honestly didn’t want to spend a lot of time with the aforementioned accomplice. I ordered the Fettuccine Carbonara.
The food was good…borderline excellent. The fresh bread is a delicious way to soak up the remaining homemade carbonara sauce. By the way, I know the sauce is homemade because the waiter told me all about it after I ordered.
The staff was pleasant enough. The place was pretty jammed up so I can’t really comment on their attentiveness because there was a lot going on. Our waiter was decent enough and I didn’t find myself saying, “where the fuck is my food?”
Like I said, Aria is a place you’d take a chick if you were hoping to get up close to her balloon knot. With that said, you should understand it is fairly expensive. It will run you about $70-$80 for two people. I highly recommend Aria if you’re looking for a decent Italian joint in Uptown Charlotte.
